Principle
This website uses no tracking, no analytics, no advertising networks and no social media plugins. No fonts, scripts or images are loaded from third-party servers — simply visiting a page transmits your IP address to no one other than the hosting provider named below. No cookies are set.
Hosting and server logs
The site runs on Google Cloud (Google Cloud EMEA Limited) in region europe-west1 (Belgium). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
On access, server logs automatically record: IP address, date and time, the address requested, volume transferred, referrer and browser identification. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and fault-free operation of the website. The data is not merged with other sources and is deleted after a short period.
Local storage of the display setting
If you select a light or dark appearance, that choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (key eeat-theme). No personal data is collected and nothing is sent to the server. This storage is strictly necessary for the function you explicitly requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG) and therefore requires no consent. You can delete the entry in your browser at any time.
Chatbot (/ask)
On /askyou can ask questions about the documented ranking systems. Your input is transmitted to Anthropic PBC, San Francisco, USA, and processed there. This is a transfer to a third country, carried out on the basis of the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR (provision of the function you requested). Questions asked are recorded in the server logs to improve the service. Please do not enter personal data or confidential information into the chat. Use of the chatbot is optional; all other content on the site is fully usable without it.
External links
This website links to external sources, in particular to official Google documentation. Clicking such a link takes you off this site; the operator of the target page is responsible for data processing there. No data is transmitted to those providers without your click.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Consent given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein (ULD), Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel, Germany.
Status
This privacy notice applies from August 2026 and is updated when the service changes.
