The higher the score, the more original the content. It is the closest machine equivalent to the E-E-A-T dimension 'Experience' (lived experience and direct observation).

The score is AI-based and derived from the text content. It measures how much first-hand material is present. It feeds into the NSR content vector.
03How it's measured
This value rates how original a piece of content is, meaning how much first-hand material it contains. The higher it is, the less the content can be reconstructed elsewhere. It is the closest machine proxy for Experience. [B field, C Experience reading]
04Why it counts here
Experience is primary: this score is the only content signal that can directly measure 'own experience'. Expertise is indirect. When aggregated to site level (NSR), Experience 'evaporates': a single original article gets lost in the average of many pages.
05What to do about it
Own measurement data, expert assessments from in-house sources and direct observations all increase the OriginalContentScore. Writing 'our station is currently measuring 87 km/h wind gusts' creates more original value than copying the same number from another service. Flag your own data visibly.
